Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of VVAI Academy (the "Service"), operated by the VVAI Academy team ("we", "us"). By creating an account, joining a team or subscribing, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

1. The Service

VVAI Academy is an online training platform for AI engineering. It includes interactive lessons, exercises that are scored automatically or reviewed by AI, an AI tutor, hands-on labs for prompting, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agents and fine-tuning, progress tracking and certificates of completion. We may add, change or remove content and features over time.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Provide accurate information, keep your password secure and don't share your login. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Each account is for one person.

3. Teams, seats and invitations

• Paid access is sold to teams. The person who purchases a subscription becomes the team owner and is responsible for the subscription and for managing the team.
• Each plan includes a fixed number of seats. Every member, including the owner, uses one seat, and a team can't have more members than seats.
• Owners add members by sharing invite links. Anyone with a valid link can join while seats are available, so share links only with people you intend to invite and revoke links you no longer need.
• Owners can remove members at any time. A person can belong to only one team at a time. Seats are for named individuals and can't be shared.
• Members who leave or are removed keep their account and learning history, but lose access to paid content through that team.

4. Free access

Any registered user can access the first chapter of each track free of charge. All other chapters require an active team subscription. We may change what is included in free access.

5. Subscriptions and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Creem. Creem is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles payment, billing, invoices and applicable sales tax or VAT. Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Prices are shown on our pricing page. If we change prices, the new price applies from your next renewal and we will tell you in advance.

6. Cancellation and refunds

The team owner can cancel at any time from the billing portal on the Team page. No further charges are made after cancellation, and the team keeps access until the end of the current paid period. After that, members can still use the free chapters. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

7. AI features

The AI tutor, AI grading and parts of the labs are powered by third-party large language models.

• AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or inappropriate. Scores and feedback from the AI grader are generated automatically and may be wrong.
• Use AI output for learning only. Don't rely on it for professional, legal, medical, financial, security or other important decisions without checking it independently.
• What you submit to AI features is sent to our AI model providers to generate a response. Don't submit other people's personal data, confidential business information, passwords or API keys.

8. Course content and certificates

• Course content (lessons, exercises, reference solutions and lab materials) is licensed to your team's members for their own learning while they have access. You may not copy, publish, resell or redistribute it, or use it to create a competing course.
• Certificates of completion confirm that a learner completed a track on the Service. They are not an accredited qualification, a professional certification or an endorsement by any certifying body, and we don't guarantee any job, career or business outcome.
• Certificate and portfolio pages can be viewed by anyone with the link, so learners can share them.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of what you submit, such as answers, code and discussion posts. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to run the Service, for example to grade your exercises, show your posts to other learners or display your portfolio. You are responsible for having the right to submit it.

10. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may remove content, reset scores, revoke certificates, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate it.

11. Your data

You can ask for an export or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@vvai.io. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

12. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available but don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or where the law requires it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including sections 8, 9 and 14, continue to apply.

14. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount your team paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
